winter whites, 5 (the last)

i have loved winter whites week. i have loved every blessed moment of it.

somehow, this was just what my mind needed to refresh. maybe it's the way that white presents endless possibilities. or maybe it's as simple as a shift in the way in which i've been looking at the world and seeing the same things over and over and over again. no matter, a bit of attention to winter whites was just what i needed.

many thanks to shari for hosting. (she always hosts the best weeks, that shari. her week of the five elements was another one of my favorites.) there were so many participants, each of whom saw white, interpreted white, captured white so differently. not only did i enjoy thinking in white this week, i so enjoyed seeing how others did the same. a few more of my favorites are here. and here, and here, and here. oh, there are so many. i could go on.

and now. my niece has gone. the house feels quiet. empty, even. with just the four of us moving about within these walls. we are settling back into our rhythm, our routine. and it's time to see the world in color again, i suppose.

Back to color, indeed. But color is good. Just as good as white.

oh man, i feel the same way about winter-white week. a blessing. am thinking (now that this week has come to a close) that the world of color is not nearly as calming as the world of whites, but we shall see. :) and yes you should love your photos, because they are gorgeous. :)
