christmas spirit

even though christmas isn't my holiday, i can't help, each december, but be swept up in the spirit of the season. the decorations, the lights, the cheer. the world seems brighter, somehow.
it has been a gift to peek at all of your christmas preparations this year. your advent calendars, your decorations, trees, ornaments, traditions. a gift, i tell you.
we do have one christmas tradition of our own. each year, at the end of december, we visit the local train garden. and always, always we visit 34th street to see the lights and to marvel at the spirit of joy this season brings.

we're off on a little vacation. some family visiting, a bit of quiet time, and (hopefully) some sunshine. see you next week.
